LaShon Cole, Esq., President
In addition to working with the Department of Army, Ms. Cole was also Judicial Clerk for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She has worked with area youth for several years and volunteers to empower youth.
Judith Dobbins, Secretary
Ms Dobbins has spent over thirty years in Washington, DC in the design, development and management of human service programs that respond to the needs of children, youth and families in the metropolitan area. In 1997 Ms. Dobbins joined Covenant House Washington and served as Executive Director in 2005.
Alex Hollingsworth, Treasurer
Mr. Hollingsworth entered the world of banking in 2003 and currently holds the position of Branch Manager of Sun Trust Bank in Silver Spring, MD. He became a certified financial literacy teacher with Operation Hope. He founded a non-profit dedicated to improving the community through financial literacy education and mentorship. His organization Beyond Today, Inc. along with other partnerships serve the community with passion and dedication.
Senodja F. Sundiata-Walker, Member
Ms. Sundiata-Walker serves as a Level III Certified Defense Acquisition Program Manager with the Department of Army. She currently manages a 20-person matrix project functional team wit a budget of $87 million. She specializes in building integrated product teams and improving dynamics and functionality by focusing on leadership, followership and teamwork.
Maureen A. Young, Esq., Member
Ms. Young serves as an Attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Board of Veterans’ Appeals, Washington. She served as an Adjunct Professor/Visiting Lecturer Paralegal Studies Program and Academic Advisor at the Community College of Philadelphia. Her civic and community involvement includes Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C 1999-2002. member of the Board, District of Columbia Board of Appeals and Review, 2000-2003 and Executive Board Member, Washington, DC Hall of Fame Sociey 1999 to Present.
Anna Barber, Member
Ms. Barber, a member of the Central Major Gift Officer for the Smithsonian Institution and has served in that capacity since June 2009. She is responsible for the initiation and development of a comprehensive, institution-wide gift program for the Smithsonian. In addition to establishing the foundation for a major gift program, she is responsible for helping build a viable major gift prospect portfolio ($1000K-$1 million) for the 19 museums and 5 research centers that make up the Smithsonian.
Debra Byrd, Member
Has worked as Manager, Coordinator, Supervisor, Trainer and Teacher over the past 30 years for non-profit organizations. Her experience in business and technical writing, grant and creative writing, proofreading and editing, finance and budgeting principals, employee, volunteer and parent training, group facilitation, public speaking and narration.
